The Senses
The 17th Annual CUNY Graduate Student Philosophy Conference will be held on April 25th-26th, 2014, at the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 5th Avenue New York, NY 10016 in room 5414.
The conference seeks to provide a two-day forum for the presentation and discussion of excellent graduate student work in philosophy, with a special focus on the topic of the senses. The senses play a crucial and pervasive role both in our everyday experience and in debates across diverse areas of philosophy. Such debates concern issues in perceptual and cognitive architecture, consciousness, aesthetics, and epistemology, among others. Our keynote speakers will be Tim Bayne (University of Manchester) and Fiona Macpherson (University of Glasgow)
